"The Home of the Spirit of Art"

While out looking for adventre one night in Berlin, we peeked into a well lit but extremely decrepit doorway and saw
what looked like a encampment of artists. We had stumbled up Tacheles, in the Mitte district, Berlin.
A fabulous artist take over by squatters, turning the back courtyard into a bar, concert venue and artist haven.
This encampment thrived for 22 years. In 2012, the city took it over, promising to provide a cultural space.
